My assumption is that either we're riding, helping groups ready for Bike Month, snowed- or rained-in, or just hanging out at about a few forums.
Now that's after work, taking care of the family, house, pets, friends, etc.
However, it can be the other way and let life fall by the way-side and obsess about bikes, which I'm guilty of..
I pass by a shop 40 miles from home. The silver folding, which seemed to be a Dahon caught my eye. As I walked closer there are wrenches servicing in the window; no backroom for them. I find it's a Schwinn?! I knew what I was looking for but as I scanned the road bikes there she was a 2004 Giant Cypress hybrid endowed with a carbon fork, seatpost and seatstay, and clip-ons. Excuse me while I haved drooled on your puppy, but will you marry me?
If I were to tell you how much this beauty costs you'd probably get at $50 ticket with Southwest to Pittsburgh. We're bike shop deprived, but you can't sneeze without bumping into an alcohol establishment. So you would eventually find it on your second shop search.
That's correct, I do not put drinking alcohol to my lips. Now cleaning my face with hot water and rubbing alcohol is another subject, but that includes a massage.
The owner and techs are so sweet compared to the locals 15 miles away. I did tell you there's a famine of bike shops in this metro-area. One just closed late February/March.
So I'm asking questions and receiving great information. Oh wow, a store where I can get feedback. Their not stroking me, but informing me cause they know I'm educated in the Cycling. I'm in...as they sized me for the princess they realized I'm a tall lady at 5'7". Cause I'm mostly legs. My dad was about 6'3", Happy Birthday as you Sleep in Peace.
Instead of being in Southwest PA, I should be visiting my family in the NY metro area preparing to ride the 5 Boro's tomorrow, but I'm here checking mail, forums and boards. I don't want to ride my comfort bike the wide tires are a horrible combination with the road. I've got a five-mile drag that would make anyone turn around for home to find comfort food instead. The hills of Southwest PA can give you a coronary. It will be reduced as you put your bike in the car rack to locate a place to ride.
Do you understand me?
I agreed not buy on impulse or desire, as I sit here with a growling stomache. I'm not fond of red, unless it's a small purse. Yet, I would settle for the Cypress.
What a dweeb?
Happy Birthday Daddy!!
Happy Bike Month!
