Snow Marathon

At the close of sabbath the family continued our discussion which transposed into book authors of the 1800's. It appeared a bit bright in pittsburgh and we wondered when to close the sabbath. come to find atleast three inches of snow outside.

it's sunday now and it has snowed practically all day, non-stop, so instead of heading out i've been on a commandn.tv binge. Commandn is a video podcast, a vodcast on technology, which the hosts give suggestions to sites for either inexpensive or free mac applications or services. You will find the same for MS as well.

The hosts, amber and mikey give weekly news , site picks, and quips of the tech world. While Ambers' brother, Jeff, provides tutorials, gadget reviews and interviews. At times their cameraman/editor, brian, comes from behind the scenes for a segment.

so for the past three months, or more, a suitable coif has not been obtained by mikey and he has tried numerous styles, which gives you ideas of a clown or an end-of-october-hair-jelled-character. he appears to be a bit weary of going to a salon as apposed to a barber. However, he's, once again, in need of cut. yet he must consult with a stylist due to his facial structure for a cut, which accentuates the positive.

as time goes by you will find that amber and mikey's favorite sites are lifehacker and betanews. however, some of their best shows include the christmas show closing credits, amber at macworld, techtv meet-up, and times when jeff flies in to co-host, or when he talks about music.

for such a small crew, it's a great and professionally produced show. take a peak.

I'm accustomed to your face...on my ipod

I'm sitting in the school's computer lab, which is predominately filled with macs. However, there is a row of hp pc's. The macs are on all night while the hp's must be boot-strapped cold. Every ms start up theme I hear I want to load this prank.

Yes, it is rare for me to visit the website of a podcast, but I'm highly attracted to some Canadians who like to travel about spewing tech websites and little gadgetry. L-o-o-o-v-e It!

Maybe we can get them to visit The Pitt during the summer when stores are open and better activities abound.

The earth is shaking

One of the first items that I have loading on my laptop is the dashboard kickstarter widget to wake up and connect my widgets from dragging along. I decided not to increase my memory, but to scale back on installing so much software that I would not use on a daily basis. Now if there's an application for me to create my blogs and upload them at a later date that would be fabulous.

One of my favorite widgets is TremorSkimmer and Sunlit Earth. As I sit here looking out of the 12 foot glass-wall of the library an earthquake is shaking the vicinity of the northern coral island as I post. There have been atleast 10 during the night all over the world, mainly off the Pacific Ocean area.

As I look at all this glass and steel beams of the library, and across the street a new office building housing Rite Aid, Vivisimo, and Per Mie Figlia I know a tremor of the older buildings may not hold. Who knows even the new buildings, even the one that I'm sitting in may shift.

We as humans are the same. What are you attached to that can and will crumble that would shake you to ruin? Ask The Lord to help you stand on The Rock.
