Is this homage to the WTC? Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
After the initial repairs of the PATH station were made to return full service downtown, it appears Apple has created an underground store. The look and feel reminds me of visiting that little pub just to the left of the first set of elevator/stairs before ascending to the main vertical corridor to street level at the old WTC. Will more stores follow Apple's trail? Instead of building up let's go underground. I hope they checked the surrounding blocks watermain breaks history.
The design is fabulous! It allows a place for people to sit for events, but a spiral staircase and all that tempered glass? Where are the emergency exits?
Can you imagine the people that live across the street? They will need earplugs and background music machines to help them sleep. But, hey, we're New Yorkers, some of us slept through the earthquake of in the 80's.

Hey Jes, sorry you are leaving us! While Jon was away we were getting lot of email s to do show and I thought I'd get some more liteners involved. Just finished recording a show tonight with Jon (great fun!) that'll be out tommorow night. Hope you'll give us another chance!
